Webcast insights can be powerful as they help you decide what is working and what aspects need improvement to better connect with the audience. Hive Video Analytics by Hive Streaming offer a new, innovative way to understand and optimize the performance of your live events. Increased monitoring, tracking, and reporting are powered by aggregated metrics that you can easily review in one place.

Understand How Your Virtual Events Are Performing

The more data points you have available for review, the better you can understand how your events resonate with your audience and optimize them to perform even better. Some of the ways insights can power better event performance include:

  • Better scheduling: Solve the question of when is the best time to hold an event, once and for all. Metrics allow you to see how many of your employees watched an event live vs. on-demand so you can determine when to schedule the next event. (Coming soon: Meeting Planner AI by Hive, which will predict attendance and engagement of future events with even greater precision.)
  • Refine regional attendance: Which region had the lowest audience turnout? Hive Video Analytics helps answer that question, from both a video experience and audience engagement points of view to help you improve.
  • Buffering severity: Understand better whether buffering is a problem for your employees when they try to view the event. Were employees disturbed by buffering, and how often?
  • Monitor engagement: How engaged were attendees during the virtual event? Did they respond to questions, participate in polls, and ask questions about the material? Engaged listeners are likely to retain much more of the material than those who simply sit and listen passively.

Better Quality of Experience Insights

Identify weak links and avoid common streaming issues by preventing them before they occur. Hive enables you to pinpoint where you can improve the Quality of Experience across your network. You can then provide more bandwidth or support to these regions or users.

Create Customized Reports for Executives

Data-heavy reports that take a long time to review can be less than effective, especially when delivered to a non-technical audience. Tailor post-event performance reports to the exact needs of your C-suite by customizing the Executive Dashboard to show what you want to highlight. Depending on your team's preferences, you can also export the dashboard in PowerPoint, Excel, or PDF formats.

Review Employee Engagement Data

Get instant live event reports to learn how engaged your employees are with internal company messaging, regardless of where they are located. Through the Engagement Indicators module, you can enhance the instant live event reports with in-depth employee video engagement insights to give your executive team a complete picture of how successful an event was.

Many companies focus their efforts on hiring the best and brightest employees. But amidst the Great Resignation, when 4.5 million employees left their jobs, perhaps human resource directors and company executives should be looking for ways to reduce churn.

Reports say as many as 30% of employees who quit last year were seeking greater flexibility. Finding ways to let employees embrace a better work/life balance can also help create a happy workforce. And technology, including webcast capabilities for employee and team engagement, can play a key role.

Revisit Your Remote Work Policies

One study found that companies who don’t allow their employees to work remotely, at least some of the time, have 25% lower retention rates than companies with more flexible policies. Another study found that, amidst the pandemic, 50% of employees refused to return to the workplace unless the company offered remote work options.

Seamless, easy-to-use videoconferencing and webcast solutions make it easier to offer remote work options with the confidence that your workforce can stay connected. So whether it’s for a quick, touch-base huddle session or a massive town hall meeting that brings together your entire workforce and corporate leaders, GlobalMeet Webcast delivers all the features you need.

Use Webcast Technology for Employee Training

Today’s workers want to feel connected, appreciated, and supported. For many Gen Z employees just entering the workforce, this means delivering the right employee training. Sixty-nine percent of GenZ workers believe learning is the key to a successful career.

Yet, employee training in 2022 doesn’t have to mean sitting for hours in a stuffy classroom or listening to lectures. Create virtual training modules with GlobalMeet Webcast and let employees listen and watch on their own schedule. If you opt for live training, GlobalMeet Webcast enables you to create an interactive, engaging environment with audience polling, Q&A features, and more.

Plus, searchable transcriptions created of each webcast can help employees review the materials later to be sure all that knowledge sunk in.

Keep In Touch with Remote Workers

Employers often fear that letting people work remotely will create disengagement. Likewise, some employees worry that they will miss out on advancement opportunities or even creative brainstorming sessions if they aren’t in the office.

Re-think this outdated view of the office as the center of creativity and productivity. Foster a sense of engagement with interactive virtual meetings. After each virtual event, make sure to poll attendees on what they liked and spots where they see room for improvement.

Your technology should never limit what you can achieve when it comes to inspiring a happy workforce. Reach out to see how GlobalMeet Webcast can help you reduce churn and stay competitive in 2022.

A webcast can be a highly effective tool for demand generation and lead generation. But only if you can engage audience members to get them thinking fondly about your offerings and create customer loyalty. A basic lecture or “talking head” product presentation won’t cut it for today’s audiences, who expect more from nearly every entertainment experience — even an educational or marketing webcast.

Here are some webcast tips to boost audience engagement which, in turn, should expand the capacity it has for lead generation.

  1. Use a Variety of Media throughout the Webcast

Talking heads on the screen can be boring. But so is a plain old PowerPoint presentation. Mix up the media during your webcast for optimal engagement. Consider creating animations and short videos to liven up the presentation. If you have multiple guest speakers, bring them together for a panel discussion. Anchor your webcast with a personable moderator that can keep things moving.

  2. Choose the Right Presenters

The right presenters can make or break your webcast. No matter how good your pre-event promotions or the technology you use to produce your webcast, your webcast may fall flat if your speaker isn’t fun, lively, and engaging.

You should be choosing your presenters for their knowledge and dynamic speaking capabilities. But also consider their network. They should be influencers in their field, to a degree, who can use their social media accounts to help you promote the webcast to their fans and followers.

  3. Leverage Hashtags for Cross-Platform Engagement

In addition to establishing social media campaigns to promote the event, use hashtags before, after, and during your webcast to increase engagement across platforms. Make sure your hashtags are memorable and unique. Share them with presenters before your event to start generating buzz. Make sure the hashtags are on all promotional material, including digital and print marketing materials you might share.

  4. Make It Easy for Your Audience to Interact

Once you’ve got your attendees’ attention, you want to keep it. Make it easy for your audience to interact with chat rooms, polling, and Q&As. Make it easy for your marketing team, as well, with technology to create post-event follow-ups that will build loyalty and keep the customer relationship going — and growing — long after your webcast is over.
